Eczema

The Greek etymology of eczema means "bubbling outflow".
It covers a wide range of affections: reactive dermatitis, eczema of contact which includes allergic dermatitis of contact, dermatitis of contact by irritation and photo-dermatitis.

It is a cutaenous affection characterized by red and dry patches. In its acute forms: weeping and scabby red patches. In the chronic forms, the skin thickens with dry scales and deep fissures.
